In addition to subscriptions, we also try to raise money to fund activities in other ways, involving the young members themselves and parents. We have held sponsored events, family barbecues and quiz nights. Or you could consider joining the 100 Club for a chance of winning a cash prize every month.
The Scout Group has registered with The Giving Machine as an easy method of raising funds. Register and shop online through The Giving Machine and your transactions generate money for the 19th Wimbledon Scout Group.
Our Scout Group flourishes because of its enthusiastic young members, dedicated team leaders, its supporters and its unique site. In 2014 we completed our 'Phoenix 2' Project which replaced our previous Phoenix Hut with a fantastic new building. The new building development has given the Scout Group a new Phoenix Hall and additional rooms. However, whilst the building work is now complete, there is still some landscaping of the site and further enhancements to do.
Our Donations webpage provides details of the easy ways in which you can donate funds to the Scout Group. Please use CAF Donate (Charities Aid Foundation) or Crowdfunder to make a donation online - quick, secure and easy. CAF and Crowdfunder also help our funds by claiming back the Gift Aid from the HMRC.
The 100 Club raises a significant amount of money each year for the Scout Group, as well as giving a similar amount away in prizes. It costs only £12 per entry to become a member of the 100 Club, with monthly prizes ranging from £15 up to £100.
If you are already a member of the 100 Club, thank you. If not, we hope you will consider joining. Your support enables us to give more youngsters Scouting to a very high level.
Renewal forms are sent out to existing members in December, and a list of winners is published in the Annual Report.
If you would like to join, please contact James Roe at 100club@19thwimbledonscouts.co.uk
